How does it work? A diode laser generates pulsed light with a wavelength that is addressed to the tooth. The substance of the modified tooth called by the light and, if there is caries or concretions, the response to radiation reflected fluorescent generates a wave followed by a beep. The wavelength produced by an electronic system provides the evaluation of the case and indicates the intensity of caries and the level of tartar found.
The teeth examined by scanning is automatically assigned a numerical value and, depending on the range in which reference is classified, it diversifies the type of intervention needed (from simple cleaning professional intensive prevention; until restoration and prevention intense). This new device presents an interesting special features: a device allows the patient to follow clearly the treatment and accruing his involvement and motivation.
So indisputable advantages for the patient, because this device does not involve contact with the surface of the tooth and therefore not harmful to the healthy tooth substance. As we know, then, a recognized early caries allows a minimally invasive and painless and, if treated at an early stage extends the life al dente.
